Some months were hard. I was prolific in March-April, not in June, then gained speed in Sept-October, then started petering out again.

I saw Thor 2 and this is what it inspired me to draw when I came home. I love Mama Frigga, she understood Loki.

Merlin in an Asylum for Sorcerers. He uses the last bit of strength to turn his fellow sorcerers into butterflies so they can escape. Watercolor.

Last and final try. I tried watercolor, pencil, and now it seems this model is just drawn best with rough paper with charcoal.

I didn't set out to do this today, it just happened. Another to add to my collection of Colin Morgan portraits and drawings.
Watercolor and pencil.
I used Vanessa Hudgens as a reference but took away all her bling (feathers, necklaces, bracelets, piercings, etcs, so much!). I just wanted to practice.

I love Luna. I should love Hermione more—her bravery, cleverness, and the beautiful actress who played her, but I relate to Luna so much more. We are a lot alike.

After doing a painting of him that came out just plain awful, I sat down with my first loves - pencil & charcoal - and did this quickly. It helped, but I still wish the painting would have turned out all right too.
